Chandigarh University (CU) is a private university, accredited by the NBA and with an A+ Grade by the NAAC. The university is approved by UGC, AICTE, BCI, NCHMCT, PCI, COA, NCTE, AIU, and CSI. CU Chandigarh is a member of ICAR, AUAP, IAU, ACU, IEEE, ASME, IUCEE, and ACS. Chandigarh University has been ranked among the Top 2% of universities worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2026, out of 28,500 institutions globally! Making a remarkable leap of 125 places, CU now stands at global rank 575.

Moving up an impressive 29 positions from last year, CU now ranks 120 among Asian institutions, placing it within the prestigious top 2% of higher educational institutions (HEIs) across the continent. In addition to this, the university has been ranked 575 by the QS World University Rankings 2026. Chandigarh University has been ranked 32 under the 'Overall' category, 32 under the 'Engineering' category, 20 under the 'University' category, and 36 under the 'Management' category by the NIRF Ranking 2024. The college has also been ranked 20 and 13 under the 'Pharmacy' and 'Architecture & Planning' category by the NIRF 2024.

In 2019, CU became the youngest university in the country to be assessed and accredited by NAAC and granted an A+ grade in the first cycle itself. In addition, Chandigarh University had also become the only state-private university of Punjab to be accredited by NAAC. Chandigarh University Chandigarh is the Only University in Punjab and the region to get accredited by NBA for its Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Aerospace Engineering & MBA programs. Additionally, the university offers ABET-accredited programmes. It is the 1st Private University in India to have the highest number of engineering programs accredited by ABET.

The university has achieved an ASSOCHAM GEM 4 rating in Green Building and Sustainability Certification. Moreover, Chandigarh University ranked 7 among the top 10 private institutions in India in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (An Initiative of the Ministry of Education).

Chandigarh Punjab University, through 18 institutes and various departments, offers UG, PG, and PhD courses to students across the Management, Engineering, and other streams.
